Iowa Small Business Development Center Disaster Assistance
Sherry Schaefer with the Iowa Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will be in Colfax tomorrow AM to visit with any Colfax business owners who have faced a disruption in their business due to the floods. The disruption could be physical (water in basement, flooding of business, etc) or economic (lost business due to decrease in local traffic, evacuations, etc). The SBDC has access to many resources that may be invaluable to you during this time of crisis. She will discuss the necessary paperwork that needs to be completed, talk about how you should be taking pictures of the damage, etc. This assistance is of no charge to business owners. Free KCOB Radio Ads for Businesses
Ron McCarthy with KCOB in Newton has contacted the Colfax Main Street office to offer free ads to any Colfax business that has experienced a business interruption because of the floods. Ron will work with each business owner/manager to discuss the extent of business interruption you have experienced and the amount of ads you will receive. I highly encourage you to contact Ron. This would be great exposure for the KCOB listening audience to know how we are coping in Colfax and that BUSINESS IS OPEN!!
