Downtown Revitalization

The grants to spruce up downtown Colfax are moving right along. Colfax Main Street has received over $590,000 in downtown revitalization grants. Construction is now underway. RDG Planning and Design is the architecture firm and Cornerstone Construction of Corning, Iowa is the General Contractor.

The following buildings will be recieving facade renovations:
Napa, 12 West Howard Street
Luthens Law Office, 8 West Howard Street
Professional Hair Designers, 6 West Howard Street
Chapman Building (Hair Gallery/Shekar Engineering), 7-9 East Howard Street
Rustin Building (Thirsty Turtle/Vacancy), 5-7 North Walnut
Trier Family Chiropractic, 9 North Walnut
Cross Building (Apartment), 11 North Walnut
Cross Building (Vacancy), 13 North Walnut
Weirick & Patterson Pharmacy, 101 North Walnut Street
Briggs Building (Gem of Colfax), 114 North Walnut
Briggs Building (Vacancy), 112 North Walnuut
Jackson-Hewitt, 126 North Walnut

Construction will be completed by July of 2013.
