The August 2011 Volunteer of the Month award goes to Brenda Weirick Pierce and Christa Jensen for their hard work and dedication as the RAGBRAI co-chairs for Colfax.

Brenda and Christa did a wonderful job organizing all of the vendors and dealing with all of the logistics of welcoming thousands of bicyclists to downtown Colfax on Thursday, July 28th. Thanks to their efforts, many local organizations had very successful fundraising efforts that day because of RAGBRAI. Many visitors also enjoyed their time in Colfax and shared positive comments at the 2011 Colfax Main Street booth at the Iowa State Fair. Thank you Brenda and Christa for doing a great job!
